We agree to provide high-quality, original content according to the scope and deadlines as determined in communication between us. We’ll follow your instructions and communicate promptly and efficiently.

You

You agree to provide a thorough brief of the work required, and any additional information or materials that may be required. You also agree to to answer our questions in a timely manner, and provide feedback on submitted content at your soonest convenience.

This page sets out the terms for Esque Creative’s professional freelance writing services. In the absence of a formal contract, these terms will apply. Where a contract does exist but does not address the items listed on this page, the items below will apply.
General
Agreement

We’ll perform the work as agreed upon in writing according to the scope, deadlines, and rates specified. In the absence of a formal agreement, email communication will serve as a binding agreement. Unless otherwise agreed, any such agreement will be subject to the terms specified on this page.

Scope

We agree to perform the agreed upon tasks according to the instructions, deadlines, and fees as defined in our agreement. This agreement will be considered the scope of the work.

Copyright & Ownership

We retain copyright and ownership of all produced items. Until any outstanding project fees are settled in their entirety, these items may not be altered or made public in any way unless agreed to in writing. Copyright and ownership automatically transfer to the client upon full payment of the project, at which point use of the produced items is at the new owner’s discretion.

Deadlines

Our best effort will be made to adhere to time frames as per our agreement, and we’re pretty good at it. Where required to make changes to deadlines, we’ll communicate in advance. Similarly, we kindly ask that you do the same.

Feedback

Where one or more project items have been submitted, please take the time to review these items, and communicate any requests for revisions within five (5) working days. Where feedback has not been received within five (5) working days, or where more time to review our work has not been requested and agreed upon, the submitted item(s) will be considered final and approved.

Moneys
50% Deposit

We typically require a 50% project deposit before commencing work. Where a long-term working relationship has been established, such deposits may be waived on smaller projects.

Milestones

Large projects may be broken down into smaller milestones, each subject to payment before work on the next milestone commences.

Project payments

Full payment of any outstanding fees are due upon project completion.

Payment methods

We use PayPal as a standard payment method to accept PayPal payments as well as debit and credit cards. Should you require use of a different payment method, please let us know in advance.

Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellations and requests for refunds should be made in writing. Refunds will be considered where such requests are within reason. Amounts refunded will be calculated against completed work on a project. Keep in mind that item approval is no indication of completed work; a fixed-fee item, for example,may require significant research before any content creation commences.

Scope Creep

Should the scope of work change, we reserve the right to adjust our services, fees and any applicable deadlines accordingly. This applies when you add additional project items to the original assignment, or when you request revisions that change submitted work substantially.
